An AI bill of materials is useful only when it helps answer an exposure question
Wiz’s guide describes an inventory of models, data and software dependencies, rather than an “AI Bills” vulnerability.
What happened
Wiz’s AI bill-of-materials guide describes documenting the components behind an AI application: models, datasets, libraries and infrastructure. It is inventory guidance, not a disclosure of remote code execution in a product called “AI Bills.”
For a security team, the value is practical traceability. When a dependency advisory appears, the inventory should show which deployed services use that component and who can update them.
Record versions, provenance, owners and deployment links, then test whether those records answer a real incident question. An inventory that exists only for a questionnaire will not reliably support patching or investigation.
Next step
Link AI component records to actual deployed services and accountable owners.
