How to read a vendor’s mapping to the OWASP LLM Top 10

A product-coverage mapping is useful for evaluation, but it is not an incident report or a guarantee.

What happened

Trend Micro’s product article maps its AI-security capabilities to categories in the OWASP LLM Top 10, including prompt injection, data disclosure, and supply-chain risks. It is a vendor account of product coverage.

Such a mapping can structure procurement questions, but coverage of a category does not establish that every attack in that category will be prevented. Ask which configurations, integrations, and test cases the claim covers.

For an evaluation, choose representative data flows and measure both missed attacks and blocked legitimate work. Keep the vendor’s capability claims separate from independently observed outcomes. This article does not disclose a product called “One” suffering a data breach.
